We also have an expansion in development, which we have pushed out to next year. We do not want to reprint the original base game. This is because we want the entire product line to feel like it all belongs together - looking more like Chaos Order. This is our reason for making the 2nd edition. But there lies the issue - how can the expansion be compatible with both versions of the base game?
The plan for next year is to offer 2 products: A small expansion box (same size as our West Kingdom/North Sea expansions), designed to work with the 2nd edition - likely 35 USD MSRP. And also an "upgrade kit" for the 1st edition. This will be the 2nd edition box and contents, minus all dice, harvesters and small wooden resources, but including all components from the expansion inside the box as well - likely a similar cost to the 2nd edition.
