Announcing the first Fleet stretch goal... Inuit (or Native!) Fisherman. Inuit are the native people of Nunavut, Canada. With the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement Act in place, Inuit fisherman can fish in Ridback Bay without a license, but still reap all of its benefits!
We are really excited to bring the Inuit Fisherman card set into Fleet as the first stretch goal! It is a really fun and strategic card that Ben and I created as an add on to Fleet. The power of the Inuit Fisherman is that he does not require a license to launch and NO captain needed! The best part is he still catches fish and counts towards all the applicable bonuses (launch, captain, and VP). Inuit Fisherman is a great card set that can be added right to Fleet and provide additional strategy and flexibility.
The stretch goal is activated when Fleet reaches 12K. It includes a full set of (8) eight Inuit Fisherman cards!
Eric is hard at work on the art as we speak (so it will definitely be awesome), and we will have an update for that after the weekend. If you would like to weigh in, head over to the Board Game Geek Fleet page and vote on the name of the card. Either “Native” or “Inuit” Fisherman or leave a comment here on the Kickstarter page! Also, we are trying to figure out what level we need to reach to offer nautical themed pashmina afghans...
