This is a fairly complex game where 2 to 4 alchemists race to find out the elements' alchemic formula and use it to gain points, money and, most importantly, reputation.

Raiders of the North Sea is a worker placement game all about Viking life. Here you'll be a Viking warrior who has to assemble a crew and head up north to plunder gold, iron, and livestock. The unique feature of this game is the way the worker placement mechanic works - you have to place a worker on free space and resolve the action indicated there. Then you take a worker from another space and resolve its action.

"Raiders is my current go-to game for introducing new players to euro-style board games. It has a great combination of resource management and card play, where you have to think twice about what you want to spend. It is very clever and easy-going, and the downtime is almost nonexistent as the number of actions you take each turn is minimal. The art also helps by being great, but that is more of a subjective opinion. It also has two expansions that make the game better in every conceivable way. Huge like!" - Raul

Carcassonne is a tile-placement game in which the players draw and place a tile with a piece of southern French landscape on it. The tile might feature a city, a road, a cloister, grassland, or some combination thereof. It must be placed adjacent to tiles that have already been played in such a way that cities are connected to cities, roads to roads, etcetera. Having placed a tile, the player can then decide to place one of his meeples on one of the areas on it: on the city as a knight, on the road as a robber, on a cloister as a monk, or on the grass as a farmer. When that area is complete, that meeple scores points for its owner.

You send your courtiers into audience chambers and hope that there's a lord there to receive you. Otherwise, your courtiers are stuck doing nothing. Also, there's limited seating! So, unless you can maneuver your way around the queue, you'll be out of the room in no time! You then use those room actions to plot and scheme, in an attempt to gain prestige, power, and office titles. And rings. Yes, the rings themselves, the ring colors, and the fingers you place them on your hand/screen matter, as they give you a bit of an edge on some of the actions you can perform in future rounds. But beware, any other player can go for that much-coveted "Lord Keeper of the Privy Seal" title you've worked so hard to obtain! In Imhotep, your purpose is to gather the most points by building monuments in the most valuable places. Each player has stone blocks in front of them and can perform one of the following actions on their turn: take more blocks from the supply, put one block on a ship, use and action or sail a ship into one of the 4 docks. Each dock leads to a certain location, such as the market, the obelisk site, the burial chamber etc. The timing of your actions, combined with the places your stone blocks end up in, will determine if you are the greatest builder in all Egypt or if your monuments lack in construction and location!

This is a competitive, medium-complexity game for 2 to 4 players that lasts about 40 minutes.

There's no need for actual drinking in this game since the drunk part is done by giving people cards with drinks on them, but it's a flexible game, so as long as you are responsible, you can play it with actual drinks, too.
